ALCRTide's 3 deep
Got this in a email from my good friend ALCRTide. I also think it might have been posted on several message boards including TI.

This is an educated guess through Wednesday's practice based on media reports from TI, BOL, BamaMag and TideSports.com. Where more than one player is apparently running Co #1, 2 or 3 I have them listed on the same line. This includes the 12 true frosh on the playing squad and the true frosh added to the Scout team:
Quarterback
12 – Brodie Croyle (SR)
14 – John Parker Wilson (Frosh)
18 – Marc Guillon (JR)
Scout Team Frosh – Jimmy Barnes
Comment – Shula says he hasn’t chosen a #2, but JPW can make “all the throws” and Guillon can run “the whole offense” according to Coach Shula. The problem with Guillon is he can’t make all the throws with his limiting back so I think JPW will be named #2 QB next week.
Running Back
34 – Kenneth Darby (JR)
38 – Glen Coffee (Frosh) or 27 – Roy Upchurch (Frosh)
10 - Jimmy Johns (Frosh)
Fullback
33 – Le’Ron McClain (JR)
19 – Tim Castille (JR)
17 – Victor Horn (SR) or 29 – Kyle Bennett (JR)
Scout Team Frosh – Ali Sharrief
Comments on RB/FB – 1st of the bench will be Castille at FB and then which frosh comes off the bench is up in the air. All have done well. Coffee was a little ahead, but Upchurch is coming on. Jimmy Johns stopped Wallace Gilberry cold on a pass rush this weekend so Johns and Castille are likely 1st off the bench at RB on 3rd down and long for max protect. Plus both are good pass receivers. We have a terrific group here with a good mixture of vets and youth.
Tight End
88 – Nick Walker (RF)
83 – Travis McCall (Frosh)
89 – Charles Hoke (Frosh)
Injured = Greg McLain and Trent Davison who both should be back for South Carolina
Comments on TE – No college or SEC experience in this group, but a very talented group. Walker and Hoke are terrific receivers and McCall is more advanced than Hoke as a blocker so first off the bench will depend on what we need – a receiver or a blocker. We’ll be fine at TE when Davidson and McLain return from injuries.
Left Tackle
72 – Chris Capps (Soph)
75 – Cody Davis (RF)
63 – Mark Sanders (SR)
Left Guard
59 – Antoine Caldwell (RF)
73 – Justin Moon (Soph)
52 – Taylor Britt (SR) or 63 – Mark Sanders (SR)
Center
74 – J.B. Closner (SR)
52 – Taylor Britt (SR)
Right Guard
76 – Marlon Davis (Frosh)
63 – Mark Sanders (SR)
52 – Taylor Britt (SR)
Out with Injury: 61 – B.J. Stabler (RF) (Will challenge for starting spot when returns)
Right Tackle
58 – Kyle Tatum (JR)
63 – Mark Sanders (SR)
Scout Team Frosh – Michael Johnson, Drew Davis, Evan Cardwell, Scott Deaton
Comments on OL – I think this will be an above average run blocking team and will struggle with pass protection – at least in the first half of the season. I have nine players manning the five positions vs. MTSU. That is assuming Michael Johnson, Evan Cardwell and Drew Davis redshirt – which I think is likely unless we get major injuries. B.J. Stabler would be the 10th available OL when he returns in about three weeks. It will take one more recruiting class to get the OL back up to full numbers and talent, but the good thing is Taylor Britt can play center and both guard positions and Mark Sanders can play all five positions according to comments made by Connelly and Shula.
Flanker
11 – Matt Caddell (Soph)
81 – Keith Brown (Soph)
84 – Ezekial Knight (Soph)
Split End
4 – Tyrone Prothro (JR)
22 – D.J. Hall (Soph)
7 – Will Oakley (RF)
Comments on WR’s – Even though Prothro and Hall are listed #1 and #2 at SE they are the two best WR’s on the team. So they may play SE/FL against MTSU depending on the personnel groupings. Otherwise I look for Caddell to start at FL against MTSU with Hall and either Brown or Knight first off the bench.
Left Defensive End
92 – Wallace Gilberry (Soph)
91 – Chris Harris (JR)
93 – Bobby Greenwood (Frosh)
Right Defensive End
47 – Mark Anderson (SR)
94 – Keith Saunders (JR)
93 – Bobby Greenwood (Frosh)
Left Defensive Tackle
50 – Justin Britt (Soph)
99 – Jeremy Clark (JR)
54 – Justin Johnson (Soph)
Right Defensive Tackle
90 – Rudy Griffin (SR)
67 – J.P. Adams (JR)
96 – Dominic Lee (JR)
Scout Team Frosh – Brandon Fanney, Brandon Deaderick, Lorenzo Washington, Byron Walton, Baron Huber
Comments on DL – Gilberry and Anderson are one of the best DE tandems in the SEC and Harris, Saunders and Greenwood will come off the bench. At DT Justin Britt, Jeremy Clark and Rudy Griffin are solid and J.P. Adams has also had a good camp. What about Dominic Lee? He has had a relatively silent camp as I haven’t heard or read much about him. But with Walton and Washington placed on the scout team he must be doing fine. Let’s hope so.
SAM (Strong) Linebacker
35 – DeMeco Ryans (SR)
55 – Terrance Jones (JR)
Middle Linebacker
8 – Freddie Roach (SR)
56 – Matt Collins (Soph)
21 – Prince Hall (Frosh)
Will (Weak) Linebacker
42 – Juwan Simpson (JR)
44 – DeMarcus Waldrop (Soph)
6 – Marcel Stamps (Soph)
Scout Team Frosh – Zach Schreiber, Eryk Anders
Comments on LB’s – We have eight LB’s who will rotate in and out. Collins has been especially effective in goal line defense and short yardage situations, but his foot speed limits his play in the middle of the field. Prince Hall will also play MLB in limited situations early until he gets fully acclimated with the defense. Let’s hope we keep the starters healthy.
Free Safety
41 – Roman Harper (SR)
3 – Jeffrey Dukes (JR)
32 – Chris Keyes (Frosh)
Strong Safety
26 – Charlie Peprah (SR)
20 – Marcus Carter (Soph)
13 – Cory Reamer (Frosh) or 30 – Bryan Kilpatrick (JR)
Left Corner
2 – Simeon Castille (Soph)
1 – Ramzee Robinson (JR)
36 – Eric Gray (Soph)
Right Corner
9 – Anthony Madison (SR)
2 – Simeon Castille (Soph)
16 – Lionel Mitchell (Frosh)
Scout Team Frosh – Chris Rogers
Comments on DB’s – We are loaded in the secondary so the question is how many will we play. It’s clear we have six front line players – Harper, Peprah, Dukes, Madison, Castille and Robinson – and everybody is playing for the other three or four spots. But how deep will we go? It looks like the next group is Mitchell and Gray at CB and Carter, Keys and Reamer at Safety. That is the 10 I think will play this fall. Reamer played with the 1st team special teams yesterday so I think he’s playing.
Punter
14 – Jeff Aul (JR)
25 – Jeremy Schatz (SR)
Scout Team Frosh – P.J. Fitzgerald
Field Goal Kicker
86 – Jamie Christensen (Soph)
43 – Ryan Saxby (SR)
Scout Team Frosh – Andrew Friedman
Kickoff
86 – Jamie Christensen (Soph)
43 – Ryan Saxby (SR)
Holder
35 – Matt Miller (SR)
43 – Ryan Saxby (SR)
25 – Jeremy Schatz (SR)
Deep Snapper
95 – Drew Lane (SR)
66 – Luke Spalding (SR)
Kick-Off Return
4 – Tyrone Prothro (JR)
22 – D.J. Hall (Soph)
11 – Matt Caddell (Soph)
5 – Brandon Brooks (SR)
Punt Return
4 – Tyrone Prothro (JR)
22 – D.J. Hall (Soph)
5 – Brandon Brooks (SR) or 11 Matt Caddell (Soph)
